Thalisa Bethel — Young & Building An Empire

What’s your full name/artist name and where are you from?
“My name is Thalisa Bethel and I am from the Bahamas. I was born and raised there and later moved to Florida.”
What makes you different as a person/artist?
“I have always been the youngest person in the room, but the most dedicated. I graduated high school and started a business at 16. I have been awarded over 1 Million Dollars in scholarship money and accepted to 36 Universities,so I will be attending USF for International Business in the fall — fully paid for as a first generation college student in my family. On that note, generational curses and social bias has been something I have been aiming to break all my life. Not only do I own a business, but I am also getting into acting & modeling. I was casted for a role in a network series that talked about the school system and the livelihood of young adults today before covid-19 brought everything to a hault. At the age of 12,I started machine sewing stuffed animals and selling them for money. These would take me about 5 hours to make and I would be paid $20 for each one, but my drive created a hunger inside of me to keep going. Today My business name is “Hawt Gal Collections” and I sell Clothing, Shoes, Hair, Electronics & Purses. I was Not a U.S citizen or resident up until the end of 2019, so a lot of what I have been given through grace was due to hard work and diligence”.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
“In 5 years, I will be a 23 Year-Old Business woman with multiple sources of income. I plan to be occasionally traveling and continuously working on building my brand and empire to the best of my ability. I want to network with elite people and those with the mindset of creating financial and mental stability for themselves and their family. I plan to have a contact list of powerful people that I do business with and to be seen as a wise investor. On that note, it is very important for me to give back. So, I want to create scholarships for High school seniors every year as a way to invest in the future, just like others have invested in me and how I have invested in myself.”
