What makes you different?
What makes me different is my resiliency with challenges and obstacles. This has been tested within my entire life. From the loss of my great Grandmother, Great Uncle, and Father all passed away within six months To venturing out and becoming an Entrepreneur after being laid off due to COVID. The ability to process and utilize those not so great experience as fuel for my art has saved my life. As an artist, I have an innate ability to connect with readers through engaging and stimulating content. To see and understand the story’s beginnings and endings before writing one word. With most of my stories, I start at the end and work my way to the realized beginning. I tend to approach projects from research and academic lense, which provides me objectivity to write authentic and relatable content.
What do you want to accomplish in life?
To inspire the world through my art and my distinct perspective of storytelling. As a writer, I have the unique gift and opportunity to create meaningful and long last content. To share my truth, to encourage, to heal, and to entertain. To be a positive example of what it means to fight and never give up on your dream. I want to create multiple platforms not just to showcase my books, comics, tv shows, and film. But to elevate those voices you don’t get to hear. To mentor and showcase talent that needs a platform. To make being a writer cool again!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years, I see myself publishing my complete series of Graphic Novels, The Sosye Saga. Touring the book around the world showcasing and telling it’s amazing stories. The book’s 5 protagonists are from different places around the world so showcasing those stories to those respective cultures. Running an online publication focused on entertainment and culture. Working on the television as a showrunner of my own television series. Creating Content and producing for television, film, and music. Partnering with production companies such as Blumhouse, Monkeypaw, and Spyglass Media group to continue to elevate the film genres of horror, suspense, and thriller. Giving back has always been a major part of my life. I will be offering webinars and masterclasses for writers and content creators.
Bon Jovi wrote, “The more things change the more they stay the same” Music is forever evolving, just like our need to consume and entertain does. But what remains a constant is how music has the power to tell stories, heal, free, and bring truth to the world. As a writer and artist, I would bring my unique talent of poetry and storytelling to deliver thought-provoking and enlighten music. To speak every generation, by creating timeless lyrics and content. I bring the ability to connect with audiences no matter who they are or the background. The world needs lyricists and creatives to heal and usher us into the next stage of our existence and that what I shall do.
