What’s your full name/artist name and where are you from?
My full name is Lester Smith aka SR.Gent, from Tucson, AZ. I also lived in Stone Mountain, GA for 13 years.
What makes you different as a person/artist?
One thing that makes me different as a artist and as a person is my life experience, which goes from a traumatic childhood, into the streets of Tucson, Az and Stone Mountain, GA before going to fight in Afghanistan for a couple years. The challenges that I have overcome are the difference.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years I see myself positioned as a symbol of independence in the new music industry, which will be run by a growing number of independent labels and associated entities. I plan to accomplish, this by continuing to navigate the industry and assisting other talented creatives in the process with the knowledge I’ve gained from The Berklee College of Music.
