What’s your name and where are you from?
My name is James Hunter Simmons (I go by Hunter) and my artist/brand name is MVNIC and I am from Austin Texas.
What makes you different?
What makes me different as a person or an artist is my drive and integrity to carry out what I want to portray as a product. My musical background, from being in drum line in high school to being a drummer in bands all throughout the Austin music scene into building my own brand as a solo artist. I am self efficient and produce majority of my own material. I bring a lot of influences together from my roots and incorporate them with modern sounds. Whatever the new wave is, I am more than capable of bringing my own roots of influences and making them into something that is modern and fresh. The era of music is consistently changing and it is IMPORTANT to stay consistent with while being able to bring in influences AS LONG AS IT MAKES SENSE AND SELLS!
What do you wish to accomplish?
What I want to accomplish in life is to honestly fulfill my music career. It’s a cliche answer but I don’t care to live a lavish life, I just want to pay my bills and live a modest life and to help support my parents because they have been to hell and back for me.
