What’s your artist name and where are you from?
My name is JT. I go by Mud Money JT and I’m from Fayetteville, North Carolina. I’m out west In Salt Lake City right now, but Carolina will always be home. I represent the 2–6 no matter where I’m at.
Why do you love music?
I love music because that’s how I express myself best. I’m able to channel all of my feelings and get my emotions out in a positive way. Some people work out some people lash out on others, I write my music. I love it because it allows me to tell my story and hear others story as well. It helps us to help understand and relate to one another better. It reminds us that we are all running the same race, at our own pace, and that’s ok.
What makes you different as a music artist?
My appreciation for the music. It allows for me to be me, my authentic self. My story is my story and appreciate the outlet it provides for me to vent or put my thoughts into words, versus bottling it up and being out here in the streets getting into trouble. Been there, done that. I appreciate the opportunities it has provided for me, the people I’ve met doing it, the things I’ve learned from some of those people.
