Kristina Menissov — The main model from Tyga’s music video Ibiza started her singing career
What’s your full name and where are you from?
Kristina Menissov based on Los Angeles.
Tell us a little about your business:
Modeling was a big part of my life, I worked with brands such as Roberto Cavalli, Jovani Dresses, Fashionnova.com, PrettyLittleThing.com, I was the main model at Tyga’s music video “Ibiza”, Rick Ross, Ty $ Sign, and many more commercials and print campaigns. But it always felt that I was missing a big part of my live — music (I am former Opera Singer) that’s why I decided I should go back to singing after all these years. This summer I released my first single “Taking Over LA” and music video to it.
What makes you different as a person and also what separates you from the rest of your peers in your industry?
Originally I am from Kazakhstan, and my dad he is from Ethiopia, so I think what makes me different from the rest of the industry is that I really like to think of myself that I am genuine person and I hope my favorite city in the world — Los Angeles will not take that away from me. Because unfortunately industry people in LA to achieve their goals will was over you, which is may be a good quality to achieve your goals, but then you have to live with yourself.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I see myself proud of my accomplishments and definitely happy that I didn’t give up and kept going.
What legacy do you wish to leave behind?
I want to build a platform so we can fight a human trafficking which I think is number one problem in the world, because for most third world countries this is the main business. We need to educate ourselves.
