Jordan Massey is a pop artist and songwriter Mississauga, Canada. His biggest musical influences range from Mariah Carey to The Weeknd. He actually fell in love with singing when he heard “The Emancipation of Mimi.” The range of her voice is unmatched and her songwriting was definitely the best introduction to music as an artist. He’s learned so much from her technique and imprint that she left in her discography.
He’s currently leaning towards The Weeknd because of his vulnerability and diversity that his catalogue possesses. He’s not nervous or shy about being transparent and that’s exactly how Jordan Massey is and what he’s striving for when it comes to music as well. He love how he’s able to put something out and have immense success being vulnerable as a male. A lot of male artist usually stray away from that path leading them to have up this facade that’s glorified, but to them personally, it’s eating them alive not to share their truth and he’s not trying to go down that path. Jordan Massey is all about music therapeutically helping others and for it to reach that capacity you have to be honest with yourself.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself within the music industry as a very successful pop artist but as well as a philanthropist as well. I love helping other people, which is why when I’m not doing music I’m advocating for multiple charities doing as much as I can to bring hope to others that are on the brink of giving up. I know what it’s like to be homeless and without any help and now that I’ve been given the chance to help people who need it. I take every opportunity possible and I don’t see myself stopping any time soon!
