What’s your name and where are you from?
My name is Rishard Bryant and I’m from Birmingham, Alabama. I grew up on the west side in a neighborhood called Brewerfield.
Tell us more:
I’m an independent recording artist. I paint very vivid pictures over a wide variety of instrumentals. I’m a reputable representative of the rising Birmingham music scene, recognized by both the forthcoming and rising succeeding artists from the city.
What makes you different?
What sets me apart from other artists is my voice. Sonically, I’ve been compared to Moneybagg Yo, Kevin Gates, and Starlito. Also my diversity. It’s been described as one of a kind where I’m from, like recognized in the first few seconds of whichever one of my songs are playing at the time. As of lately I’ve been noticing a new set of listeners with every release, I believe that’s different, especially being an up and coming indie artist.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I see myself thriving as both an artist and songwriter with my own production and publishing company housing some of the best producers and songwriters, the go-to company when you need a hit. I’m talking about being known for hits in all genres, not just hip hop.
What type of legacy do you want to leave behind?
The legacy I’d like to leave behind would be one respected by generations after generations, similar to Michael Jackson. Being able to have an affect on the world, not just Birmingham…it’s so much bigger beyond the city limits, that’s the vision I have for everybody around me.
