Raydelys Morrobel Reyes, aka Areri Dominican, currently living in the Bronx, NYC
Tell us a little about your business
I make natural homemade hair products for natural hair. My business, M R Naturals, promotes the use of a moisturizing co-wash instead of shampoo, which contains sulfates and damages natural hair.
What makes you different as a person and also what separates you from the rest of your peers in your industry?
The fact that I try every product on myself before selling it to the public, i’m as real as it gets; if I wouldn’t use it, I wouldn’t sell it. It’s not about the money, it’s about representation!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Done with my college career and with a self-sufficient business.
What legacy do you wish to leave behind?
That barriers in life are only as big as you make them. I see myself in every Dominican little girl coming into this country with nothing but dreams, I want to pave the way that will show them they’re unstoppable.
