Tell us about you:

AK ‘the MasterMinds’ from Ibb Yemen , grew up in the Central Valley, 30 miles north of Bakersfield in a little town called McFarland . Surrounded by Hispanics AK’ picked up Spanish before English. Thanks to his mentor Ernesto Castillo Morales that taught him how to read and write Spanish , AK’ became fluent in Spanish and was the 1st in his family to achieve that. In elementary school, many of his childhood friends thought he was Hispanic for the way he would sing Spanish songs in class and on lunch break. What a start , the story gets better though .

. Despite his juvenile record his dreams and goals had just been born. After being expelled from McFarland High School in 2009 , AK’s father (Mansoor Alhomaidi) sent him back to the motherland where he studied Islam and Arabic in Ibb Yemen. Returning to the states in November of 2011 with 12 songs written and ready to be recorded ,AK’ was ready to run the family business along start the dream by recording his 1st mixtape “Memories Forever Lasting”. When asked why do you love music he replied ,”Music is the passion that derives me to do better everyday , it was what helped me stay in my fathers store and not hit the streets as an adult.” 18+
