‘AK Mars’ is a hip hop artist and songwriter from Toronto, Canada.

Who are you biggest musical influences?

Growing up, I listened to a lot of r&b and hip-hop. Music was never played in my household so I just learned about it myself. Growing up I listened to a lot of Kanye West, Chris Brown, Akon, Usher, Eminem, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Wu Tang, and the list goes on. My partners and I also started a record label/umbrella called ‘Treblevision Records’, which I am the co founder of. We currently have 3 artists and 2 producers and we’re continually growing. Besides that I’ve just been trying to put myself out there and consistently grow.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I see myself as being a successful recording artist and branching off into the business world and creating a stable life for my family. I just want to move my parents out, buy them a house, and retire them as soon as possible. I don’t want anyone in my family to worry about money. My ultimate goal is to build Treblevision Records into a worldwide entertainment company with my partners.

What legacy do you wish to leave behind for yourself?

I wish to leave a footprint in my city and hopefully I’ll be able to say that I contributed to the growth of the Toronto music scene and the…
