What’s your artist name and where are you from?
“Str8Cash”, I’m an upcoming artist born and raised in Gallatin, TN.
Why do you love music?
I can remember being little, my grandmother would take me to church with her and I always wanted to go play the drums. I’ve loved music my whole life. That was my form of self expression, my pain and frustration came out in the music. I started rapping when I was around 13 or 14 years old.
What makes you different as a music artist?
Everything I rap about is from experience. I don’t rap about stuff that goes on in the streets to influence or glorify that path. I’m just giving it to them raw and uncut, you can either take this path or this path, but if you go this way this is the outcome. This is what comes with it. Ain’t no straddling the fence.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I know where I want to be but I just take it one day at a time. We already face a day to day struggle, never really knowing what tomorrow may bring. But I know my higher power will give me the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding that I need to get through whatever obstacles come my way.
